The people of Smith's Funeral Service & Crematory treated us so gentle and kind. From the first phone call, to the final hand shake leaving the cemetery after the services ended. They covered every single detail that we asked and never left off anything. In fact, they suggested things to add the special touch to make things extra perfect. Their communication was on point and they never made me feel like I was asking a dumb question. My daddy looked amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything better. There was never any pressure or hurry up. I left with the feeling that the staff cared for us and our concerns. After the initial visit we returned to complete all plans. Billing was easy. The memorial service was beautifully handled. Given the circumstances, the entire experience was very nice.

When my mum died, I was going to use the services of the large established funeral home in town. But then my uncle suggested that Smith Funeral & Cremation Services might be more appropriate for my needs. It was the best suggestion I ever took. Though Smith Funeral & Cremation Services may be smaller than its competition, it more than made up for it in its fair and affordable prices and individualized services. The owner, Justin Smith, personally dealt with my needs and went out of his way to charge a price that fit within my desired budget and yet still deliver a quality service. He came up with ideas I would never have thought of. First, Justin suggested a display of photos of my mother. Then after patiently sitting through my many rewrites of the obituary, I came in the next day with one last edit to mention my mother's hobbies. Justin brilliantly suggested that we display some of my mum's paintings and needlework. It was this wonderful idea that turned what could have been a sad memorial service into a true celebration of my mum's life. I also like the online memorial website for my mum which allows friends and relatives from around the world to leave condolences or even upload photos. Even days after the service, Justin was willing to spend time with me to show me how to use this memorial website and make another edit to the online obituary. I wholeheartedly recommend Smith Funeral & Cremation Services to any family ever needing such services in Greenville, NC. Whatever your budget or needs, you can be assured you will be made to feel comfortable at Smith Funeral & Cremation Services.

My family and I could not have been more pleased with the way Justin at Smith Funeral and Cremation Services handled the arrangements for my father's funeral a few weeks ago. After my father’s battle with cancer, I was very concerned that his physical appearance (due to severe weight loss and jaundice) would not allow us to have an open-casket viewing. I was astonished and amazed at the way daddy looked. He looked very handsome, natural, and peaceful, as if he had never been sick. Throughout the entire process of planning and overseeing the funeral and arrangements, the Smith funeral staff provided support and guidance and graced us to have the perfect homegoing for our dad. Another deciding factor in our choice for Smith Funeral and Cremation Services was cost efficiency - their price was more reasonable than other funeral homes.
